Who We Are
MANTUNG CULTURAL AND DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (abbreviated as MACDA-USA) is a cultural and developmental association made up of sons and daughters or friends of Nwa Sub-Division resident in the United States of America. Sonship and daughtership to the association is bestowed upon one through birth, adoption, or marriage and when he or she willingly adopts the culture of the people of Nwa Sub Division (fondly referred to as Mantung Land), in Donga and Mantung Division of the North West Region of Cameroon domiciled in the United States of America. A member of the association is called a MACDAN. The Motto of the association is “Unity, Culture and Development” while the emblem of the association is an adult holding the hands of both an older person and a younger person and leading them forward on a clean road.
The objective of the association is to protect the identity and culture of the people of Nwa Sub Division, and maintain maintains a common heritage considering the heterogeneous, physical, cultural and linguistic nature of Nwa Sub-Division. The association is organized and operated for charitable, cultural and developmental purposes under section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code.

What We Do
The Goals of the Association are:
- To ensure that its members are God fearing, law abiding and productive members of their community;
- To unite all sons, daughters and friends of Nwa Sub-Division resident in the United States of America by inculcating or reviving in them the feeling of a common heritage;
- To promote and protect the culture of the people of Nwa Sub Division (fondly referred to as Mantung Landers) resident in the USA;
- To encourage and promote self-reliant development with the objective of enhancing the living standards of the people of Nwa Sub-Division;
- To maintain continual contact and association with all indigenes of Nwa Sub Division;
- To promote the well-being of Nwa Sub Division and to help the Sub Division to continue to grow economically, culturally, socially and developmentally;
- To provide a means for members to pool resources in order to enhance their collective welfare;
- To instill and encourage an enterprising spirit among its members;
- To provide resourceful tools to members and/ or communities to help mitigate issues of poverty, security, illiteracy, health.
- To provide material and spiritual assistance to the poor, underserved, at risk, physically and/ or mentally challenged, or otherwise disadvantaged individuals and communities affiliated with MACDA-USA, without preference to ethnic origin, race, religion, nationality, gender or sexual orientation.
